I wrote down everything Susie Dent said in the order she said it in dictionary corner on Oct 3rd’s #countdown, and it made a Found Poem with sparse, dramatic, religious imagery and bleak finality. Susie’s clearly working on a higher plane than the rest of us.
Dogfish
A sand coloured shark common to European coasts
From the Greek meaning sweet wine
Retrial is another seven
Gathered for eight
I’m seeing whether heritage has turned into heritaged
It’s such a modern verb
Then there is a seven that maybe familiar to regular viewers
Novenas – prayers said on nine successive days
Adaptors for eight
It’s such a horrible round
Deaths for six
Nothing beyond
